316 stainless steel woven mesh is a premium metal woven product crafted by our company, utilizing high-quality 316 stainless steel wires through sophisticated mechanical weaving techniques. As an upgraded version of 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, making the woven mesh even more adaptable to harsh and extreme environments. It has become the preferred choice in industries with stringent requirements for material performance.
Material Characteristics
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: 316 stainless steel contains not only chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) but also about 2-3% molybdenum (Mo). This molybdenum element forms a more stable passive film on the surface of the woven mesh, enabling it to resist corrosion from a wider range of chemicals, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and chloride solutions. It performs exceptionally well in marine environments with high salt content, coastal areas, and chemical processing plants dealing with aggressive substances, far surpassing 304 stainless steel in corrosion resistance.
- Excellent High-Temperature Resistance: It can maintain stable performance at higher temperatures, up to around 800-900°C (depending on specific working conditions). Even under prolonged exposure to high temperatures, it is not prone to oxidation, deformation, or loss of strength, making it suitable for high-temperature industrial applications such as high-temperature gas filtration and heat treatment furnace components.
- High Strength and Toughness: 316 stainless steel has higher tensile strength and yield strength compared to 304 stainless steel. The woven mesh made from it exhibits excellent mechanical properties, withstanding heavy loads, strong impacts, and frequent mechanical vibrations without easy damage, ensuring long-term reliable operation.
- Good Weldability and Formability: While maintaining its excellent performance, 316 stainless steel also has good weldability and formability. This allows the woven mesh to be easily processed into various shapes and sizes according to actual needs, facilitating installation and integration into different equipment and systems.
Structural Characteristics
- Precise and Uniform Mesh: Through advanced weaving technology, the 316 stainless steel woven mesh features precise and uniform mesh sizes. This ensures consistent filtration accuracy and screening efficiency, whether in the separation of fine particles or the filtration of high-viscosity fluids, it can achieve reliable results.
- Strong Structural Stability: The interwoven structure of the mesh wires gives the woven mesh strong structural stability. It is not easily deformed under external forces such as tension, pressure, or bending, maintaining its original shape and performance, thus ensuring the stability of the filtration or screening process.
- Smooth Surface and Easy Cleaning: The surface of 316 stainless steel woven mesh is smooth, which reduces the adhesion of impurities and contaminants. It can be cleaned by methods such as water washing, ultrasonic cleaning, or chemical cleaning, and it is not easy to leave cleaning dead angles, ensuring the cleanliness of the mesh and reducing the frequency of maintenance.
- Customizable Specifications: Similar to 304 stainless steel woven mesh, 316 stainless steel woven mesh can also be customized according to customer requirements in terms of mesh size (from fine meshes to coarse meshes), wire diameter, mesh shape (square, rectangular, etc.), and sheet size, to meet the specific needs of different application scenarios.
