Stainless steel filter mesh tubes are cylindrical filtration parts made from stainless steel woven wire mesh, perforated metal, expanded metal, sintered mesh, or multi-layer mesh. They are commonly used in liquid filtration, gas filtration, oil filtration, chemical processing, water treatment, and industrial filter assemblies.
Compared with flat filter mesh discs or caps, stainless steel filter mesh tubes provide a larger filtration area in a compact cylindrical structure. They can be supplied as simple rolled mesh tubes, welded mesh tubes, multi-layer filter tubes, support tubes, or semi-finished parts for filter cartridges and filter elements.
Kawen manufactures stainless steel filter mesh tubes according to drawings, samples, or application requirements. Custom options include material, mesh count, diameter, length, layer structure, welding method, end structure, and support design.
Material Options
- 304 stainless steel mesh tubes are suitable for general filtration, screening, and equipment protection. They are commonly used in standard industrial filtration and cost-sensitive applications.
- 316 stainless steel mesh tubes provide better corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel, especially in chloride, chemical, and humid environments.
- 316L stainless steel mesh tubes have lower carbon content and are suitable for welded mesh tube structures, filter cartridges, and applications requiring better corrosion resistance after welding.
- Other Stainless Steel Mesh Tubes: 310S, 2205, 2507, 904L, and other stainless steel grades can be selected for high-temperature, strong corrosion, or special industrial filtration environments.
Structural Characteristics
- Precision Mesh Construction: Tubes are fabricated using advanced techniques such as plain weave, twill weave, or sintered mesh to achieve uniform pore sizes (ranging from 1μm to 5mm), ensuring consistent filtration efficiency. Sintered mesh options offer enhanced mechanical strength and multi-layered filtration for complex separation needs.
- Reinforced End Caps: Most tubes feature welded or flanged end caps (made from the same material as the mesh) to provide structural rigidity, secure mounting, and leak-proof connections to filtration systems.
- Perforated Support Layers: For high-pressure applications, an inner perforated metal tube or outer cage is integrated to reinforce the mesh, preventing deformation under extreme pressure (up to 1000 bar).
- Customizable Dimensions: Available in lengths from 50mm to 6000mm and diameters from 10mm to 300mm, with options for seamless or seam-welded construction based on application demands.
